Almoners Meeting

A meeting of the Bournemouth and New Forest craft and Chapter Almoners is arranged for Saturday the 20th March and is to be held at the Knole Masonic Centre starting at 10 am and should finish by 12 noon.

Any interested Brother who would like to attend would be very welcome but will need to "book in" with Ian Young - see below for contact details.

The speakers will be Mr A Creamer the Project Manager for Self Directed Support at the Community Care Service, who will talk to us about the new arrangements for financial assistance for those in need. He hopes also to have a colleague with him who can answer questions on more general social care matters

and

John Williams - the Development Director for the Masonic Samaritan Fund who will bring us up to date on the Fund and the new medical conditions included for support such as Dental Treatment and Respite Care etc.

It is important that we have a good attendance for this meeting We would welcome wives/partners if they would like to come either in further support of you or to learn first hand about the subject matters.

The Provincial Almoner W Bro Malcolm Childs and his Deputy W Bro Tom Jones have been invited so they will be able to answer any general queries.

The small dining room will be the best location for the meeting but the expected number attending the meeting may require us to use the main dining room, will you please confirm that you will be attending and if your wife/partner will be coming with you - use e mail (preferred). fax or telephone to contact me.

I say again that it is important to have as many Almoners and guests in attendance so please make every effort to be there.
